Activities

1 . Project analysis and report including preliminary design

• Review existing documentation and the Client’s IT requirements
• Calculate and model power requirements based on today’s and projected IT requirement
• Review locations and advise on the most suitable/cost-effective where this has not already been confirmed by the Client
• Calculate required sizing of the new data centre
• Review building design and location in terms of defence against flooding and local EMC risks
• Review TIA 942 resilience tiering, e.g. Tier 1 to 4 and N, N+1 design etc.
• Options will be analysed and discussed with Client on a cost/benefit/risk/resilience basis
• The basic layout and design will be agreed at this stage
